Blinstrubs vital records
Metrical books of Christian Churches have very significant meaning and value in genealogical research. In metrics you can find much more information than just date or place of an event. They often include a place of residence, close relatives, occupation, cause of death, descendants, etc. Blinstrubs vital records in PDF are catalogued and uploaded into folders below (file names in Lithuanian). 1631.11.30 King Vladislav IV Vaza's secretary and courtier ID857 George Blinstrub Olswoski de Towtwil was the godfather. George participated in the baptism ceremony of Balcer Labecki son Ansrew as godfather at the Calvinist Reformed Church in Vilnius. This also confirms that George resided or frequently visited Vilnius. It is also interesting to note how the surname is spelled – Blindtstrup. This is the oldest survived church record related to Blinstrubs.
